When my daughter, Sarah, was 15 years old, she started using drugs. At first, it was just marijuana, but it quickly escalated to harder drugs, including cocaine and heroin. Within a few years, she was addicted and her life was spiraling out of control.

As a mother, I was devastated. I didn't know what to do or how to help her. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing seemed to work. She went to rehab several times, but she always relapsed. I felt like I was losing her to this terrible disease.

But I never gave up hope. I knew that Sarah was a good person, and I believed that she could overcome her addiction. I kept loving her and supporting her, even when it was hard.

Finally, after years of struggling, Sarah got sober. She's been clean for over 5 years now, and she's living a healthy and happy life. I'm so proud of her, and I'm so grateful that she's still here with me.

I've written this book to share my story with other parents who are struggling with their own children's addiction. I want to give them hope and inspiration, and to let them know that they're not alone.

If you're a parent of a child who is struggling with addiction, I urge you to never give up hope. There is help available, and your child can recover.

Here are some things that I learned from my experience:

  • Addiction is a disease, not a moral failing.
  • There is help available, but it takes time and effort.
  • Don't give up on your child, even when it's hard.
  • Love and support are the most important things you can give your child.
  • Recovery is possible.

If you're looking for help with your child's addiction, here are some resources:

  • The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA): https://www.drugabuse.gov/
  • The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA): https://www.samhsa.gov/
  • The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD): https://www.ncadd.org/
  • Al-Anon Family Groups: https://al-anon.org/
  • Narcotics Anonymous: https://www.na.org/

I hope that my story will help you and your family find the help and support you need.
